FUE hair transplant
FUE removes follicular units individually from the donor area before implantation. It leaves small extraction scars and requires careful planning of the amount and distribution of donor hair used.
FUE treatment informationIf you live in Salford and are considering a hair transplant, our Manchester team can assess your hair loss and discuss a realistic treatment plan. The consultation looks at the change you want to make, the hair available for transplantation and whether surgery is appropriate.
Examples from our patient-results gallery. The change achievable in your case depends on your starting hair loss, donor hair and treatment plan.
See more patient resultsWe welcome enquiries from Salford, Eccles and Salford Quays. The first appointment is a chance to explain what has changed and what you would like to improve. An examination helps distinguish the area you want restored from the hair that can safely be used to restore it.
The surgeon considers the pattern and progression of the loss, donor density, hair characteristics, medical history and previous treatments. A lower hairline or denser crown uses a limited supply of grafts, so the plan needs to leave room for possible further thinning.
If your work involves a hard hat, physical lifting or time outdoors, mention this during the assessment. Recovery advice should fit your working day as well as the procedure being considered.
Discuss donor-area assessment, treatment goals and the proposed approach with Dr Kalra. His GMC reference is 7126076.

FUE treatment informationDHI refers to using an implanter to place grafts. The extraction and placement stages should both be explained so you understand what the suggested method involves in your case.
DHI treatment informationFUT takes a strip of donor scalp, which is divided into follicular units for transplantation. It leaves a linear donor scar, an important consideration if you usually keep the back of your hair short.
FUT treatment informationFacial-hair work needs a design that accounts for the direction and angle of the existing hair. The cause of the gaps and the available donor hair are assessed before treatment is recommended.
Beard transplantsA graft estimate is based on the area to be treated, the hair that remains and the donor supply. More grafts are not automatically a better plan: the aim is to use them where they can make a useful difference while protecting the donor area.
Ask for the proposed coverage and the total price in writing, along with what is included in follow-up. Our Manchester hair transplant cost guide explains the pricing information to review before booking.
Travelling from Salford is not one single journey. Eccles, Salford Quays and the city centre have different transport connections, so choose the route from your own starting point rather than using a general Salford journey estimate.
From Eccles or Salford Quays, compare the tram and bus options shown on the Bee Network planner. If you use Salford Central, check the onward walk or local connection to the clinic. The most convenient route may differ between the outward and return journeys.
Use the Bee Network area maps or National Rail station information to check the route. Arrange the appointment before making fixed travel bookings.
Appointments are arranged in advance. The map below opens our clinic listing.
For a procedure, agree the journey home and any support you need with the clinical team. Ask when you may need to return and how to get advice between visits. The aftercare guide explains the topics to discuss alongside your individual instructions.
Yes. The consultation is the place to discuss suitability and decide whether a procedure makes sense. You do not need to choose a graft number or a method before that assessment.

The recommendation follows an assessment of your donor hair, the area to be restored, medical history and expectations. Ask the surgeon to explain the advantages and limitations of the proposed approach for your case.
Your quote depends on the agreed procedure and graft requirement. Ask for the full written cost, including what follow-up is included, before deciding. Travel costs are separate.
Ask about washing, work, exercise, travel and what to do if you are worried about healing. Follow the individual instructions from your clinical team rather than another patient’s timetable.
